I cannot thank Amit Dehra enough! I was told by many prominent Immigration Attorneys that I an ineligible to obtain a U.S. green card in the U.S. because I entered the country illegally. However, what all immigration attorneys, except Attorney Amit Dehra, failed to ask me was if, “I was the Beneficiary of any petition filed on or before April 30, 2001.” This was the specific question asked my Attorney Amit Dehra and I said “yes”. After carefully reviewing the documents, I was informed that I am eligible to adjust in the U.S., despite the fact that I entered illegally in the U.S. I was told that I am a beneficiary under section 245(i) of the Immigration and Nationality Act. We filed paperwork and I was interviewed by the Service. The interview went well andAttorney Amit Dehra informed the Service how I qualified under 245(i) of the Act and my green card case was approved. Today, I am a green card holder. I can’t imagine why different lawyers gave me a “no” when there was clearly a way out. Many thanks to Amit. He is the best.
